Kathleen Shannon is a co-founder, partner, and creative director at Braid Creative: a branding agency for creative entrepreneurs, people-driven businesses, and purpose-oriented organizations. Kathleen is also the co-host of Being Boss: a podcast for creatives. With over 200 episodes and 6 million downloads Being Boss dives into the mindset, habits, routines, boundaries, and blend it takes to do the work – with expert guests including Dr. Brené Brown, Marie Forleo, Ramit Sethi, and more. Kathleen also became a first time author in April 2018 with her book Being Boss: Take Control of Your Work and Live Life on Your Terms. Kathleen currently resides in Detroit, Michigan with her husband and their son Fox.
Sarah James is the author of Whoorl, a lifestyle blog with an emphasis on clean beauty, unfussy style, and a mindful approach to daily life. Over the past decade, Sarah has written about everything under the sun – with her finger on the pulse of the modern woman's lifestyle, she's happy to share her successes and challenges, and is open and authentic in bringing that conversation to the table. Sarah also co-hosts Selfie, a weekly podcast about self-care in the modern world.
Julie is the Creative Director and Partner of Studio DeWalt—an independent creative studio specializing in branding and visual storytelling. Founded with the ambition to build brands for people with big ideas and a love of small details, the studio works as a creative partner for clients across disciplines—bringing identities to life through thoughtfully crafted print, packaging and digital implementations. After stretches in NYC, Barcelona, and most recently, Atlanta, she and her husband, Evan, moved back to OKC before welcoming their two curly-haired children.
Stacey Johnson is a life-speaker, entrepreneur, hope-slinger, adventure seeker and a Licensed Professional Counselor and earned her masters in marriage and family therapy. She owns her private counseling practice, The Purple Couch, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where she leads individual and group counseling as well as co-leads couples counseling with her husband. Throughout the year, Stacey hosts mindfulness workshops and powerful therapeutic retreats for women, couples and teen girls. Stacey is the creator and life speaker on The Girly Bliss show, a weekly podcast providing inspiration and hope for women. Her greatest accomplishment and joy in life is their 8 amazing children, 6 of which are adopted miracles!
Dr. Grace Jun was raised in Lawton, Oklahoma and came from humble beginnings. She began her college years on a full dance scholarship to the University of Oklahoma and the University of Central Oklahoma. During her time there, she never expected to fall in love with mission work. She traveled to Moscow and Mexico where a seed of suffering and a heavy global burden of people across the world was planted. Ultimately, her husband’s mission work in the dental field inspired her to pursue her own dental career. She is a dentist, wife & mom of two living in Oklahoma City.
Erin Engelke is the Executive Director for Calm Waters, a nonprofit in Oklahoma City that serves children and families who have experienced loss due to death, divorce or other significant loss, providing free support groups and other services. Prior to Calm Waters, Erin served in fundraising and public relations roles for Sunbeam Family Services, Feed the Children, World Neighbors and MidFirst Bank. She has traveled extensively around the world, including Guatemala, Albania and Peru and has a heart for seeing children and families thrive no matter where they live. Erin’s greatest pride is her family – her husband, son and two daughters.
Andrea Mason is a Portland, Oregon native who moved to Oklahoma City in 2010. She is an entrepreneur at heart. She has a background as a collegiate athlete, and has been involved in the fitness and spa industries since 2010. Andrea opened her first business, Barre3, in Oklahoma City in 2010, She expanded to 4 studio locations within 4 years, and also partnered on a second business venture, Udånder, a Scandinavian steam and sauna spa in 2014. Andrea’s newest venture is a retreat business named Abhinaya, which was launched earlier this year. Andrea has a knack for building community and curating events and stays in some of the most unique and inspiring places in the world. Andrea is a Mother of two, enjoys creative expression and strives for self care, which she believes is essential in today’s world.
Rachel Shingleton is the creator of Pencil Shavings Studio, a multidisciplinary creative firm which originally began as a colorful lifestyle blog. Rachel’s background and education is in graphic design, and she’s been working in the creative sector in fashion, product design, photography, etc. for over ten years. She lives in Oklahoma City with her husband, two boys and an extremely naughty Chihuahua named Nickels.
Through her educational, community, and organizational experience, Mautra Staley Jones is known as one of Oklahoma’s youngest thought leaders. Mautra serves as Vice President for Institutional Advancement and External Affairs at Oklahoma’s historic Langston University. Married to United States Magistrate Judge Bernard M. Jones II, with three children—Bernard (“BJ”), Kennedy, and Brendan—Mautra holds a BA in Journalism, as well as an MBA, and is currently pursuing her EdD at Vanderbilt University.
Tracey Zeeck started Bumbershoot PR from a desk in her bedroom in 2009 when her now 11-year-old son was just a toddler. She's a mom, wife, publicist, speaker, consultant, library commissioner, and published children's book author.
Sandi Johnson & Shalia Ashcraft
Sandi Johnson and Shalia Ashcraft are Oklahoma moms who grew a hobby Instagram account into a full-fledged business in just a few years. Working as a teacher and a hairdresser, Sandi and Shalia took their interest in home decor and put a passion and dedication behind it to start The Spoiled Home, their lifestyle blog that now has hundreds of thousands of followers.
A service-minded leader and thriving entrepreneur, Shelley is helping business owners find balance by leaning into her passions. As CEO of Leveridge Group, she has grown her brand from a solo bookkeeping effort into Folded Owl, Hoot Institute and Nestkeeping. She has more than 15 years experience in support roles in various industries, including commercial property management, residential real estate, non-profit finance, fundraising, event planning and public relations. Shelley is an avid volunteer in the community with more than 10 years of experience leading volunteer efforts for various arts-related and civic organizations in Oklahoma City. When she’s not advocating for social justice and women’s equality, you can find her tweeting about Thunder basketball, debt freedom, politics and funny things her daughter says. Shelley is a wife, mother, empath and fur mom of two four-legged friends.
Sarah Mason Sears, founder and principal of S Design Inc, is an award winning branding and design professional and National AIGA Fellow based in Oklahoma City. Sears speaks at local, regional and national events effusing and evangelizing about how branding, design and marketing are catalysts for business and organizational growth. In 1996, Sears founded the Oklahoma chapter of The American Institute of Graphic Arts, known as “AIGA.” She served as president from 1996-1999 and as a board member and advisor for more than a decade. She was selected for Journal Record’s “Achievers under 40” and for “Forty under 40” in OKCBiz. Sears also received honors as a three-time finalist for the Journal Record’s “Woman of the Year” and was inducted into its Circle of Excellence. In 2013, Sears was honored with the Women in Communications Byliner Award for Business and received the Small Business Entrepreneur of the Year by OSU’s Ritata Center for Entrepreneurship. She was honored with the 2014 Casady Alumni Achievement Award, and in 2016 her firm received the Pantone Color Award from Graphic Design USA.
Alisa Trang Green
Alisa Trang Green is the Founder and Chairwoman of the Dress for Success Oklahoma City affiliate. Trang has been working in the nonprofit sector for numerous years. Some of her expertise range from fundraising, spreading community awareness, advocating for women and relationship building with at-risk individuals. Her passion for helping others started when her family immigrated to the United States from Vietnam to seek the American Dream.
Candice McCoy is Founder at Fit + Free Studio, an online community of women seeking to live their best life through simple fitness, mindful living and clean eating where she has led hundreds of women through their own personal transformations. Before launching this community, Candice and her husband, Jon, created Love Well Handmade - an apparel and home line that led to a national collaboration with West Elm. When Candice isn’t chasing her entrepreneurial spirit, she’s chasing the joys of her life - her two sets of twins ages 6 and 3. Candice loves travelling and exploring the world with her family, adopting and naming exotic house plants and can usually be spotted with an iced coffee with a splash of almond milk in hand.
